Just off the great room, the Teachers' Lounge offers touches of modern elegance in a relaxed and comfortable historic setting. 

Monday through Friday - 6:00 am to 11:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday - 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

The Teachers' Lounge Food + Drink offers a touch of modern elegance in a relaxed and comfortable historic setting.  Opting for shared plates paired with a specialty cocktail program, Chef Poompan wants to create a sense of community among The Slate Denver's visitors.  The menu includes local ingredients and a contemporary take on classic dishes.  Our mixologists will wow you with hand-crafted, creative cocktails featuring local spirits and house-made mixers.  The Emily is the property's signature apple-themed cocktail.

Meet Our Chef

We are excited to welcome Chef Michael Poompan as the property's Executive Chef.  He has created wonderful relationships with Colorado-based vendors and looks forward to incorporating those vendors into his foods and drinks.
His delightful Crispy Bison Meatloaf Bites will feature Colorado's Rock River Ranches bison, and his Jumpin' Good Goat Cheese made from Jumpin' Good cheese produced in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.  Attimo Wine will be featured in a house wine program complementing the food. Altius Farms, a hydroponic greenhouse in downtown Denver will grow all salad greens for the property, and River Bear Meats will supply charcuterie used across the menus, including the country ham on the breakfast sandwich and olive plate, and the mortadella on the fried "bologna" sando.
